1. Who we are
This website is operated by the Malappuram Unit of the Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi (KVVES), referred to below as “the Unit”, “we” or “us”. It provides public information about the Unit and a member portal for registered members.
2. Acceptance of these terms
By browsing this website, submitting a membership application, or signing in to the member portal, you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or the portal.
3. Membership
- Membership is open to traders and entrepreneurs operating in the area covered by the Unit, subject to the bye-laws of KVVES.
- An online application is a request for membership. It becomes active only after it is verified and approved by the Unit's office bearers.
- You must provide accurate, complete and current information in your application and keep your profile updated.
- The Unit may decline, suspend or cancel a membership in line with its bye-laws, for example for non-payment of fees or conduct that harms the Unit or its members.
4. Fees and payments
- Membership and monthly fees are fixed by the Unit and may be revised from time to time. Current amounts are shown in the member portal.
- Payments recorded in the portal are for reference. The official record is maintained by the Unit's office and any dispute should be raised with the office within 30 days of the entry.
- Fees already paid are not refundable unless the Unit decides otherwise in a specific case.
5. Your account
- Your login credentials are personal. Do not share them, and inform the Unit office immediately if you suspect unauthorised use.
- You are responsible for all activity carried out through your account.
- We may suspend an account to protect the portal, its data or other members.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the website or portal for any unlawful purpose or in breach of KVVES bye-laws.
- Attempt to access data or accounts that do not belong to you, or interfere with the operation or security of the website.
- Copy, scrape or redistribute content from the website or portal without written permission from the Unit.
- Upload or submit content that is false, defamatory, abusive or infringes the rights of others.
7. Content and intellectual property
The name and emblem of KVVES, the text, images and design of this website belong to KVVES or its licensors. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use connected with your membership. Announcements and event information are provided for members and the public in good faith and may change without notice.
8. Third-party services and links
The website is hosted on Google Firebase and may link to external websites and services. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third parties. Following a link is at your own discretion.
9. Availability and liability
We aim to keep the website and portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the extent permitted by law, the Unit is not liable for any loss arising from use of, or inability to use, the website or portal, or from reliance on information published on it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. Continued use of the website or portal after a change means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Malappuram, Kerala.
